My Teen Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group is designed to help adolescents build the tools they need to manage emotions, navigate relationships, and handle life’s challenges with confidence and balance.
In this supportive, judgment-free space, teens learn practical skills in four key areas:
Mindfulness – increasing awareness and focus in the present moment
Emotion Regulation – understanding and managing intense feelings
Distress Tolerance – coping with difficult situations without making them worse
Interpersonal Effectiveness – improving communication and building healthy relationships
Through group discussion, hands-on exercises, and real-life practice, participants gain greater self-awareness and resilience. This group is ideal for teens who struggle with intense emotions, impulsivity, or conflict in relationships, and who want to feel more in control of their thoughts and behaviors.
Ages: 13–18
Format: Weekly 60-minute sessions
Parenting a teenager can be tough — especially when emotions are big and communication feels hard. My DBT Skills Group for Parents is here to help you feel more supported, confident, and connected to your teen.
This group teaches parents the same tools their teens are learning in DBT, so everyone can speak the same language at home. Together, we’ll explore practical skills for:
Staying calm and present during stressful moments
Understanding and managing emotions (yours and your teen’s!)
Handling conflict without making things worse
Improving communication and rebuilding trust
You’ll join other parents who “get it,” while learning strategies that bring more balance, empathy, and teamwork into family life.
Who it’s for: Parents and caregivers of teens (ages 13–18), whether or not your teen is currently in DBT
Format: Weekly 60-minute sessions in a supportive small-group setting
